Awesome site Larry! Your picture reminds me of the first album of yours I rec'd back in the day. By the way, did Bob take that from my office when he left? So great to see you doing so well. Hope to see you at the Colonial in June!

Your CD is beautifully done, from cover to final tune - thoughtful, considered, resplendent, echo-y, radiant, lovely, and not like the music anyone else is making. Beautiful!!

Every concert, every album, Larry pushes the envelope melding the jazz and classical world into a seamless, perfect harmony. It's my favorite music when working in the studio. Uplifting, mysterious, cleansing, energizing. It just keeps getting better. Isn't it about time for a concert out here in the bay area?

Larry,
Good luck with the concert. October is a brilliant CD and something to be proud of
as a life's masterpiece.

Like the Chernicoff compositions I once knew – October leaves you listening harder and searching more with each listen. Searching for the background melodies, the nuances, the connections of the music. I told Larry years ago that I wasn´t talented enough to listen to his music. I had it wrong. You don´t need to understand every note to realize just how smooth and connected these compositions are. I find myself deep in thought listening to these tunes, always circling back to the music again.

Larry and Company - Bravo. As good as the album is, I am sure you are better live.

Excellent site! Beautifully organized, very attractive & completely informative. Says a lot about the composer & his compositions!!

Bob Sweet - Friday, January 30th, 2004 9:47 AM EST
Larry, please bring Jazz + Jest to Ann Arbor. We need a performance that causes the performers to laugh so hard that they can't play. More laughter, more love, more peace.

There seems to be a sense of the music being a "new order of things". Perhaps Machiavelli had it right - except he didn't mention how sweet it could be.

"There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things."
Niccolo Machiavelli, Il Principe, 1532
