Beauty and the Beat - June 3, 2010

Do we have eclectic tastes in music? Yes, we do. On today's show we'll be listening to some classic and contemporary jazz, some classical favorites (remembering why JS Bach can touch our hearts like no one else), a little French Gypsy music, an international trio playing music of Brazil, a couple of well-known rock tunes followed by jazz interpretations, some gospel music from the 1950's, music from Cuba, a little-known rambling from Van Morrison's pastoral period, and a setting of lyrics found in an old shoebox in Woody Guthrie's closet after he passed away. Oh, and a few other things, as well.
